Adult Programming
Or Shalom’s plentiful opportunities for connection are designed to enrich and fulfill the wide array of spiritual, educational, personal and social needs of our adult congregants.

For more information or to become part of the planning team, please email Bill at adultprogramming@orshalomlc.org.

Caring Committee
Our goal is to provide support and comfort to our congregants during times of loss, illness or surgery. Resource materials are available in our library. Committee members mail cards, prepare & deliver meals, arrange carpools, lead minyanim during shiva and deliver “Or Shalom Cares” gift bags to those who are ill or having surgery.

To volunteer or for more information, please email Debbie at caringcommitee@orshalomlc.org.

College Connection
Keep Your College Student Connected to Or Shalom!
College Connection helps our college students stay in touch with their Jewish roots and our temple. Goodies are sent twice a year to more than 30 students.

To help pack boxes or add your college student to our mailing list, please email Elise at collegeconnection@orshalomlc.org.

Education Committee
Interested in molding Jewish education for our future generations? Our committee works with the Education Director on issues and activities related to the operation of our religious school program including educational research, planning events, coordinating activities, developing policies and scheduling changes.

To volunteer or for more information, please email Dale at education@orshalomlc.org.

"Fun"draising Committee
Energy, ideas and a willingness to invest some time and effort to raise funds for our congregation are the prerequisites to serving on this committee. New ideas for social events and fundraisers that bring us together as a community are always welcome.

To volunteer or for more information, please email Evan at fundraising@orshalomlc.org.

Library Committee
Our collection of Jewish literature and reference materials are available to all congregants. Donations of new or gently used Jewish books are always appreciated. Volunteers are necessary to maintain our library.

To volunteer or for more information, please email Sandi, Wendy and Norma at library@orshalomlc.org.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee works to attract new congregants and keep current members coming back for more! We want all members to feel welcome and involved in the educational, spiritual and communal activities at Or Shalom. Our New Member Mentor Program pairs new families with mentor families. Serve as a mentor to a new family this year.

To join the committee or to volunteer as a mentor family, please email Rachel at membership@orshalomlc.org.

Religion & Ritual Committee
The Religion & Ritual Committee works closely with the rabbi and staff to coordinate all holiday and Shabbat worship. Our responsibilities begin with the High Holidays (S’lichot to Simchat Torah) and continue throughout the year. The committee pursues new spiritual and engaging ways to welcome Shabbat and celebrate holidays.

To volunteer or for more information, please email Michelle and Lynn at ritual@orshalomlc.org.

Youth Committee
Our goal is to engage children in grades 4-12 through programming and activities. This helps create bonds of friendship and foster a greater sense of Jewish community. Creative ideas and extra hands are always needed!

To volunteer or for more information, please email Jeremy and Barb at youthcommittee@orshalomlc.org.
